Our Home Watch Services Include:
Exterior Inspection
- Visual inspection of siding, roof, and gutters (from ground level)
- Check all doors and windows for signs of tampering or break-ins
- Look for signs of vandalism or trespassing
- Verify exterior lighting is operational
- Remove packages, newspapers, mail, and flyers from mailbox and entry
- Disconnect garden hoses in winter to prevent freezing
- Monitor for signs of insect or pest activity
- Confirm grounds are being maintained as contracted
Interior Inspection
- Visual check for insect infestation or pest presence
- Replace any burnt-out bulbs
- Check breaker box for tripped circuits
- Inspect ceilings and baseboards for signs of moisture or water intrusion
- Confirm all doors and windows are locked and secure
- Run sinks, tubs, showers, and garbage disposal to keep lines clear
- Flush toilets to prevent stagnant water and stains
- Look for dripping faucets and signs of plumbing leaks
- Verify thermostat and humidifier are set correctly and functioning
- Inspect water heater for signs of leaking
- Confirm refrigerator and freezer are operating properly
- Unplug unnecessary appliances
- Run dishwasher rinse cycle monthly to maintain water lines
- Disconnect washer and dryer; reconnect and run rinse cycle monthly upon request
- Inspect air filters and change as needed
- Replace batteries in smoke/fire/CO₂ detectors as needed

- Winterization: We recommend scheduling coordination for plumbing winterization before freezing temps set in.
- Home Preparation: Basic cleaning and home setup before your return to ensure everything is clean and welcoming.
